DESIGN, TYPESETTING, & PRE-PRESS

DESIGN & TYPESETTING:

Working as a team, we take your ideas from concept to final product. Our graphic arts staff will assist in the design, layout and typesetting of everything from corporate logos and identity plans to forms and brochures.

If your document exists in an electronic format, we can manipulate the contents to create exactly the message and impact you want. We have hundreds of type styles in our computer system to choose from. Choosing precisely the right one and creating a proper image for your message is always a creative challenge. That is one of our areas of expertise and we will guide you through the process.

You will be provided with proofs at proper intervals (both from received electronic files and newly created ones) for your approval before we go to print.

PRE-PRESS:

We can receive your files in a number of ways. Hard copy or a transport disk can be mailed to our office or we will be happy to pick it up at your office. In a more contemporary process, you can e-mail us your file. Be certain to include all of your supporting artwork and fonts. We accept the programs listed below.

We offer a wide variety of approaches to print your job and we will recommend the one that best suites your needs. Traditional ways offer two printing techniques. Either printing from a photo-direct plate or from a negative and metal plate. Often a more modern approach is printing directly from your disk, thusly reducing time and cost (digital printing).

SCAN TO DISK:

Why take home bulky paper files? We are capable of scanning paper files and electronically save them to a CD for your use anywhere. We can scan any size paper from 3x5 to an 11x7; either single sided or double sided. This process takes a relatively short time to do, so tight deadlines are not a problem. Capable of scanning large numbers of documents electronically and putting them on disk.
Able to scan documents in sizes from 8.5" x 5.5" and 11" x 17". The documents can be one sided or two.
Rapid turn around time with our high speed scanner. We can process documents in a reasonable period of time.

LAMINATING:

Laminating documents preserves documents by keeping out the dust and dirt, and also helps prevent "wear and tear" by heavy usage. This also permits pieces to be placed outside and be impervious to weather, thus allowing pieces such as outdoor signs a longer life. We can laminate any size document form 3.5 x 2 (business card size) to 11x17 (article/magazine/flyer). We have 3 different weights of laminate available - 3 mil (light weight), 5 mil (medium weight), or 10 mil (heavy weight).
